Your Checked Luggage

Organize: Using packing organizers makes things much easier if security needs to check inside your bag. Save time by using our Travel Roll-Up, Hanging Sundry Kit, Organizer to go, Jewelry Kit, Contact Lens Kit, Tie Caddy, PackMate, Laundry or Camera Bags. Better Packing It is easy for authorities to inspect bit-by-bit, rather than rifling through a whole pile of clothes. If you can find problem items quickly, you'll be able to finish an inspection faster.

Lock your bag: Some travelers wonder if a lock will be cut off if there is a need to inspect your checked bag, so be safe by using Transportation Security Administration (TSA) locks and straps. Safety/Security

Identify your luggage promptly: Use our Neon Straps, Luggage Tags that are easy to identify, also don't hesitate to use unusual or large tags. Luggages Accessories

Your Carry-on

Take less stuff: Expect to have your carryon bags thoroughly searched and take as few things as possible. Try putting all your little things, like pens and lipsticks, inside a larger tote or cabin bag. This will make it much easier to empty and re-pack your bag. You may find it's easier to choose a bag without lots of small pockets to empty and reload.

Take fewer bags: Passengers may be limited to one or two carry-on bags. This is not a new restriction, but had been loosely enforced. Some travelers report that NO wheeled bags are being allowed as carry-ons; others say they have had no problems at all. If you have any doubts, pack a small tote as an emergency back-up. If you are asked to gate check your larger bag, you'll still be able to take the real essentials into the cabin with you. Business Travel

Count your carry-ons: In the past, many airlines have not included purses as an "official" carry-on, but many travelers tell us that handbags are now being counted as carry-on items. Change your purse into a shoulder bag/camera bag or ticket organizer.

Do's and Don'ts before, during, and after your trip

Always:
Write up identification tags and put them everywhere--inside and outside your luggage. Include your e-mail address on your luggage tags. Make sure your tags show your final destination. And don't forget to remove all old tags.

Always:

Place anything leakable into plastic bags or in waterproof carrier bags. This includes makeup, shampoos, conditioners, shaving cream and moisturizers. Roll and then seal your most important business attire in a thick laundry bag inside your suitcase if you can't carry a foldable garment bag separately.

Never pack:
  • Your home keys,
  • Car keys,
  • Business keys,
  • Passport,
  • Checkbook,
  • Wallet, purse in your checked luggage.
If your luggage is lost, you will be stuck at the airport with absolutely nothing.

    Never:
  • Put your Long Term Airport Parking ticket in your checked luggage, again, if your luggage is lost or slow, you will have to pay a much higher parking fee to get your car! You're better off leaving the ticket in your car.
