Indianapolis Dining and Nightlife

New to the city? We’re here to help. As Indiana natives and self-proclaimed Indy restaurant aficionados, the Travel Products team has compiled a list of our favorite Indianapolis dining and nightlife options. Whether you’re staying downtown in the heart of the action or up on the Northside, we’ve got you covered.

Driving

There are a number of street restrictions in place for the weeks surrounding the Super Bowl, so don’t rely on your GPS for downtown navigation. Instead, take this opportunity to brush up on your map-reading skills by downloading the transportation and parking packet. The Super Bowl committee also has a list of all street restrictions.

Parking

Parking in downtown Indianapolis is limited, but the city is working to provide visitors with many convenient options including three Park and Ride locations, an airport shuttle, public transportation, express buses from the Northside, and taxi stands. All of this information can be found at IndianapolisSuperBowl.com. If you’re planning to use the Park and Ride option and know when you’ll be visiting downtown, you can reserve your parking permit now.

The NFL Experience

This interactive exhibit may as well be called the Disney World of Football. With football memorabilia, games, attractions, clinics, and autograph sessions, the NFL Experience is a must-see for any football fan. The event runs from January 27 through February 4 at the Indiana Convention Center in the heart of downtown. Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for children under 12 and can be purchased on Ticketmaster.

Super Bowl Village

Located in the heart of downtown Indy, from January 27 through February 4, Super Bowl Village will be home to the NFL Experience, Tailgate Town, over 80 live concerts, and even an outdoor zip-line. For a comprehensive list of Super Bowl events, check out our printable Super Bowl schedule!

Super Bowl Celebrations

Just because you can’t make it downtown for the big game, that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate the Super Bowl in true Indy style! Super Bowl celebrations are scheduled across Indiana, from Bloomington to Broad Ripple and everywhere in between.
