Like all converters, this product changes 220 volt electricity to 110 volts so your device won’t overheat or short out. While some converters have a hi or lo setting that you must choose, this converter selects just the right amount of electricity for your device without you doing a thing! It even has automatic overload protection for safer use.

The Auto-Switching Converter/Transformer contains a 50 watt transformer, and a converter up to 2000 watts. North American two-prong plugs will fit, and you can plug the converter into typical European outlets unless recessed into the wall or in the U.K., Italy, Switzerland, or Denmark where you’ll need a plug adapter.

NOTE: Avoid using this device for extended time periods and also with dual voltage appliances like laptops that already have built in converters.
